1. Download
Download Chrome / Edge package
Then unzip it anywhere on your computer. Open the extracted folder once in Finder: it must show manifest.json, popup.html, and popup.js directly inside.

chrome://extensions(oredge://extensions,brave://extensions). - Toggle Developer mode in the top-right.
- Click Load unpacked.
- Select the extracted extension folder — the one that contains
manifest.jsondirectly. Do not select a parent folder. - Chrome/Edge shows folders in this picker, not individual files. If you are looking for
manifest.jsonthere, you are in the wrong picker — select the folder itself. - The Etsy Tracker icon appears in your toolbar. Pin it.
- Open the extension and click Link account once, so shops are saved into your paid dashboard.
- Open
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox. - Click Load Temporary Add-on….
- Pick the
manifest.jsoninside the extracted folder. - The extension stays active until you close Firefox. For permanent install, signed AMO build will come later.
3. Use it
- Click the Etsy Tracker icon in your toolbar.
- Type a keyword you compete in (e.g. personalized dog tag).
- The extension opens Etsy organic results and shows 10 real competitor shops.
- Free plan: add up to 5 shops for 1 keyword — daily sales tracking starts immediately.
- Open the dashboard any time to see who actually sells.
